Bar Person

As a fast growing prestigious outside caterer we require an experienced bar person to work on the bar at our exclusive venue, Bradbourne House. We require an experienced bar person/s who has a detailed knowledge of the bar operation and a passion for excellent customer service.

We are appointed sole caterers for 2 stunning venues and approved caterers for 3 other prestigious venues in Kent we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees. The main purpose of the role is to look after the bar at Bradbourne House and support other bars in varying locations. You will provide the highest standard of customer service whilst ensuring the smooth operation of the bar during an event.

The successful candidate will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

  • Organisation of the bar
  • Setting up and closing down the bar
  • Serving guest drinks and preparation/ assembly of pre ordered drinks packages
  • Cleaning of the bar area
  • Cashing up the till (experience of this is essential)
  • Stocktaking (experience not essential as full training will be given)
  • Working other locations where required

In terms of background, you will need to have worked behind a bar for at least one year. You will have supervisory experience with a small team in any role. You will have a solid knowledge of bar drinks and different wines. You will be immaculately presented and able to deliver exceptionally high standards of customer service. The remuneration on offer is £negotiable. This is dependent on previous experience and knowledge of the industry. You will report to the Event Manager on site.

If you match the following criteria, then this position may be for you:-

  • One year experience working behind a bar
  • Experience in a supervisory position
  • Knowledge of wines
  • Effective communicator
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with high work ethic
  • Hold a personal licence. (Exceptions will be made for the right candidate and training will be arranged in order for a personal licence to be obtained.)
